Area Description
The word area has several meanings. In the sense of a measure, an area is the manifestation of the size of a (two dimensional) flat surface, amount of space inside a two -dimensional object or the extent of a figure or shape. It can be measured with several units such as Acre, Hectare, and square unit; square foot; square inch, square kilometer, square link, square meter, square mile, square mile, square yard, etc. The area of the different figures is calculated in a different way. One of the most common formulas to find the area is the one for the rectangle shape which states to multiply the length by the width. Obsolete units of area: Carucate, decimal, ground, Katha, morgen, virgate.
