Midases (midas) Conversion
A midas or Melchizedek is the largest type of champagne or wine bottle with the capacity of 30 L or 40 times the size of a standard 750 ml bottle. The names of those bottles come from either biblical or mythical background (from the names of a Greek king and a biblical king of Salem).
The salmanazar is a wine bottle with the capacity of 9 L of wine, which equals 12 times the volume of a regular 750 ml bottle. Salmanazar was also the name of a biblical Assyrian king.
