Power, as a concept of physics, is the quantity of energy transferred from one place to another or transformed from one form to another per unit of time and also the rate at which work is done. Power requires a change in the condition of the physical system and also a concrete time period in which the change occurs. Average power, Mechanical power, electrical power, peak power, radiant power (radiant flux).
Electric power is defined as the rate with which electric energy is transferred or consumed over a unit of time by an electric circuit.
The peak power is the maximum power sustained from an electronic device or power supply for a short period of time. It should be differentiated from a continuous power which is the amount of power maintained continuously.
The rate with which the flow of energy is emitted, transmitted, reflected or received per unit of time is called Radiant flux.
